New consumer units (fuse board)
A consumer unit which meets the current regulations (18th Edition) will help ensure that both you and your property are protected from electrical failures. Over the years, electrical demand in our homes has steadily increased meaning that what might have protected you in the past, may not do so now.
Installing a new consumer unit will not only make your home safer but protect it for the future as your home will be fully tested to make sure all electrical circuits in the property have the appropriate level of protection.
Getting your home rewired, replacing the electrical circuits in the house to meet your needs and to the current regulations is a major task. We will plan this carefully with you to minimise disruption and avoid unnecessary work.
We will also ensure you receive an installation certificate and building control notification as part of the work. All notifiable work is covered by a six year warranty backed by the NICEIC under the Patinum Promise. Also see our accreditation section for more information.
Getting a light switches moved or installing additional sockets are usually straightforward jobs. However, they must be carried out the current electrical standards to make sure you are safe in your own home. Minor installation certificates are provided for small installations where appropriate.
