Unfortunately, due to the current situation, we are only responding to emergency call outs. While electricians and gas engineers are categorised as a essential workers, we are minimising our contact with other people in line with Government restrictions. This is because we have a quite a few vulnerable customers and we want to be able to carry out emergency work for them but with minimal risk of passing COVID 19.
We have temporarily suspended annual gas services until the restrictions are lifted. Hopefully, it will only be a few more weeks before we can start working more freely.
If you are a landlord and need to have a boiler service and safety check carried out at a property, the Gas Safe Register has issued guidance. Essentially you should still attempt to have the service carried out but Gas Safe recognises that you may not be able to find an engineer to do the work. You should keep records of your attempts and be sure to book the work as soon as possible. Visit Gas Safe for full details.
During this time when it may be difficult to get gas work carried out, do not be tempted to use any one who is not Gas Safe registered. Always check the engineer is qualified to do the work. For more information, read our article about checking a gas safe identity card.
Please call if you have any concerns, we will do our best to advise you.
